Well, I am momentarily back in the midst of wedding craziness- 54 days to go! This post will probably be among the very few posts this summer due to the complete madness of late.
This is one of many of my DIY projects that has kept me busy. I just couldn't find a ring pillow that I liked, so I decided to enlist the help of my sewing machine and some Vera Bradley cloth napkins that match B's tie (don't worry, the print on the tie is much smaller).
I decided to keep it organic looking by adding two wooden buttons, tuft-style, on the top and bottom and some ribbon that I'm using throughout the decor.
So, here it is! A sneak peak into wedding craziness!

I just can't help myself....
Every time I get online to research music for our wedding I always end up watching this over and over again. This is the true celebration that weddings should be!
This time I decided to go to the website that they've created and it is just as fun! What is even better is that their site is mostly dedicated to taking donations for the Sheila Wellstone Institute. Wedding dance processionals and charitable giving? What more could you as for!?
This one's on me....

Feathered Friends
I've been looking around for cake toppers and was hoping to find some birds to do the trick. In the process, I learned about these adorable Lauren Alane creations. Check out the collection, it will make your day. In the photos the birds are posed in all types of different scenarios which made me want to have a few of my own even more! Love them!

A Toast to 2010

Most New Years Eve's are spent reflecting on the last 364 days of the year but 2010 is different for a very special reason. Instead of looking back this NYE, I'm looking forward to the many wonderful things that lie ahead in the second decade of 2000. After getting engaged in 2008 (which feels like just yesterday) we are tying the knot this year! 2010 seemed like so far away when we set the date and now it is here and I couldn't be more excited. Cheers to you, 2010.
I'm mostly looking forward to the moment that we are officially married but I'm anxiously awaiting the fact that weddings mean seeing friends and family you don't usually get to be around, more often than usual.
It will be a great year of preparation, celebration and happiness. So, here's to you 2009 and bring it on 2010.
Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year!
