Office Update

Over the last six months we've been updating this house with some new paint. First with the kitchen and more recently with the guest bedroom. To make the space a bit more versatile we took the bed out and turned it into more of an office/den. Our plan is to put a small sleeper sofa in eventually so we can accommodate guests but in the meantime we've been using a fancy ol' air mattress.

Still trying to find the perfect odds and ends to hang behind the desk.

Above is one of my favorite pieces in the room. The chair was actually the very first piece of furniture my parents bought when they started putting together their first home! They graciously passed it down but when Finny came along he may have had a little episode with the former velvety and light blue material. It was such a special chair I could bear to part with it so my mother-in-law took it to a fabulous reupholster for us, along with some fabric I found online and above was the result! I love it so much!

I inherited the green piece in the corner from my late Grandma Shrock. I love it so much so we fill it with special mementos and our favorite antiques!

Yeah, you better believe that is a bar globe! It was one of my Christmas gifts to Ben this year. He loves it!

So, there is still a lot of work to be done but it is well on the way!
