A Christmas Cookie Exchange & a recipe

A few of my girl friends have gathered together a couple times over the last few years and hosted a Christmas Cookie Exchange and I have to say- I always have so much fun! This year did not disappoint so I thought I'd share a few photos and the recipe for the treats I brought to the party.

Me and my truffles.
 What you need:

24 oz. fine bittersweet chocolate (chips, nibs, or cut into small pieces)
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
A fun coating of your choice to roll the truffles in

The plan:

Bring cream to a boil over medium heat and then pour over the chocolate in a bowl and combine. Whisk cream and chocolate together creating a creamy, satiny texture. Cool in a refrigerator for 45 mins- 1 hour. Once the chocolate is semi-firm. Place 1 tablespoon of chocolate on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place back in the refrigerator to cool. Once those have firmed up roll them into balls and then roll them in your coating of choice. For this party, I chose silver, glittery sprinkles. They were a hit!

The finished product.
So many fantastic treats to be had!
Mustache cookies! So cute!
