An afternoon with JoEllen DuFresne

This past weekend my mom and I had a really wonderful opportunity to inherit some  amazing culinary and serving items from one of my favorite chefs, JoEllen DuFresne! A fabulous woman who I used to see every Saturday when I worked for a greenhouse at the Kokomo Farmers Market, JoEllen just happens to be one of the best bakers I know. Seriously, she is an amazing baker, chef and lady!

So you can imagine my excitement when I received a message from her, asking if I would be interested in a few of her items from her time as a caterer. It was like hitting the jackpot- not only did I get some great deals, I'm hoping her talent rubs off on me a bit when I use them. Fingers crossed!

From chargers, serving dishes, and trays, to rolling pins, heavy duty whisks and steamers...we were in heaven! I literally ran around her storage space swooning at the sight of everything and leaving a trail of items I had to have (as evidenced by the random piles of goods below). It was awesome!

A few of my new pieces!
You can probably tell how excited I was by the look on my face as I clutched my new set of Madeleine baking molds from France:

Love at first sight!
So, a HUGE THANK YOU goes out to my friend and most respected Chef JoEllen DuFresne for thinking of me when you needed a new home for your wares! I'm so grateful!

The lady and legend herself!
Again, thank you JoEllen! Mom and I had a great afternoon and really enjoyed the time we were able to spend hanging out with you. Your talent is an inspiration to me and I hope I can do just half of what you did with my new culinary tools!
