Now that summer is officially here, I thought I'd give everyone a peek at the progress we're making with all the flowers, herbs and veggies around our yard. Things seem to be going well minus one funky tomato plant but luckily, we have about 3 other volunteer tomato plants that we're just letting take off. We have actually had SO MANY volunteer veggie plants in our garden this year including two types of squash, dill, onion, tomato plants and okra. So far we've just let all of them grow (who doesn't love free plants?!), except the okra due to our garden's ability to grow mutant okra. True story, happened last year, I'll save the details for another time.
Here's a bit of the color popping up all around:

The garden, in need of weeding, but getting lush! |

Lavender de provence

My singular little Lamb's Ear start. I love Lamb's Ear so I'm hoping it turns into many more! |
|
Marigolds- our natural pest deterrents. |
|
Rudabeckia- Black Eyed Susans. If I touch them I break out in hives but they sure make a nice photo!
