The Scene:
The snow is gone. The ice has thawed. The clouds have lifted and...SPRING IS HERE! If you live anywhere above the Mason Dixon Line, fair weather has been a long time coming this year. After a particularly cold winter and about three intolerable weeks of rain, Mother Nature is finally cooperating and bestowing us with some much needed Vitamin D (aka – sun drugs). In honor of the arrival of summer and sunny skies I’ve put together a soundtrack that is ideal for driving with the windows down. So slip on your sunglasses, turn off the air, put your windows all the way down and just cruise…
The Songs:
- Life In Technicolor, Coldplay
- September, Earth, Wind and Fire
- 1901, Phoenix
- Beast of Burden, Rolling Stones
- Who Knows Who Cares, Local Natives
- Float On, Modest Mouse
- Stickshifts and Safetybelts, Cake
- Symphonies, Dan Black (feat. Kid Cudi)
- Dweller on the Threshold, Van Morrison
- Sweet Disposition, The Temper Trap
- Little Secrets, Passion Pit
- Heavenly Day, Patty Griffin

Aloha Marge and Elise,
As an avid reader of RH I thought it might be just the right time for me to make my first RH comment. (yay!) My current living situation has me spending the holidays in 80 degree weather and 4000 miles from home. Any ideas for a Mixtape for a slightly homesick, snow-deprived newlywed looking to put some pep in her holiday step?
Sincerely,
Why is Santa wearing swim trunks?
