Being the week of St. Paddy's Day, it's only fitting to write about one of my favorite Irish treats. Irish soda bread. Rustic and crusty with a hearty center, this bread is perfect with some good old Irish Kerrygold or preserves.
I liked this recipe in particular because it calls for an ingredient that gives it a nice twist. Caraway seeds make it taste a little bit like a hearty rye bread, which is why B loves it so much. He says it reminds him of visiting his Granny and Papa's home in Tennessee. I guess if he likes it, it's somewhat certified being the Irishman he is!
Sláinte!
