Grocery go getter: Adel Zeller

In order to waste less food and we have been a lot better at making meal plans at the beginning of the week and only buying exactly what we need. This has proven to be really successful for us in a number of ways.

First, after a late work day it is nice to not have to wing a home-cooked meal with random pantry items (although, sometimes I do like to pretend I'm on Iron Chef. Judge away.). Second, sometimes things come up and we aren't home in time to have dinner or have to pick something up on our own which moves the meal plan back by a day. After keeping up with shopping only according to the plan, we have accumulated a good amount of ingredients and each week, the shopping trips are a little less expensive because we need less.

And to make things even easier, I found this sweet Grocery List Shopping notepad on Etsy that breaks all your items down by store area and even has a space to indicate the quantity and whether or not you have a coupon. In the world of lists, this is the perfect list that if used properly, does all the thinking for you. It is also great because it keeps you from going back to certain aisles a billion times to get that one thing you forgot to grab.

So, Adel Zeller, I tip my hat to you for this super handy and good-lookin' notepad!
