As soon as we got home from spending Thanksgiving with our families we put up our tree! This year we have a room big enough to put it up. Last year we could only fit half and pushed it up against a wall. Then we realized it was too heavy on the front and had to zip-tie it to the air-return. We also had a tin foil star. Those are the memories I will always cherish!
The Shrock Family made it to the ISO's Yuletide Celebration this year taking Ben along for the first time. Although the Liberachi impersonator continues to haunt my dreams of dancing sugar-plums (what were they thinking???) I always love the dancing Santa kickline. It's a tradition that just proves that some things shouldn't change and if they do "Christmas in Las Vegas" isn't the way you should go.
Ben and I threw a Holiday Dinner Party complete with lots of wine, the best company ever, and a 20 pound ham- cooked to perfection after Ben took a half day to bake and glaze it!
Ben and I used our Triple-Play tickets to check out this holiday favorite. It was both well-done and memorable. We capped off the night with some South Bend Chocolate Factory hot cocoa, it was great!
Once again, we ventured out to Trader's Point Creamery's Christmas on the Farm. It was wonderful to see all the local vendors and their beautiful wares. There is just something about buying local, living off the land you live on, and sharing it with your community that conjures up some great holiday feelings that last the whole year-round.
